| Coil Heaters |

Micro Tubular Coil Heaters are manufactured in two standard diameters, 1.5 mm and1.8mm (0.059” & 0.07”). These heaters are swaged and compacted to these diameters and fitted into special clamps to tighten over circular parts for heating purpose.
The 1.8mm diameter Micro Tubular Heater is formed into a coil of predefined dimension and equipped with a special cover for easy fittment. This special cover called Axial clamp allows front end loading and adjustability. Such easy handling saves hours of downtime in case of heater failure in a Multi - Cavity mold. Compared to conventional method of heating machine nozzles with Mica Band Nozzle Heaters, PHP offers a High Performance Heater which has many advantages. This product has evolved out of experience and regular heater failure complains of plastic processor around the globe. It has a very robust design and can perform efficiently even where polymer spillage is a regular feature. They can be manufactured with built-in thermocouple, thus can be controlled very accurately while processing sensitive materials e.g. Nylon 66 with 40% glass filled.
A coil heater is mounted onto a Brass Collet which is designed and machined to high accuracy for better heat transfer and covered with a Chrome Nickel Steel clamping band. Upon tightening the clamping band, brass collet firms its grip over the nozzle, resulting in a very even fit for efficient performance. Coil Heaters, which are designed for use in hot-runner molds, when applied in such conditions works wonders.
As the name indicates this is a coil heater cast in brass having an outer casing of Stainless steel. Available with an added feature of built-in-thermocouple, applications of these heaters are quite similar to coil heaters but have some advantages over the latter. |

Ship heaters when ordered for use in grooved platens, should be ordered with our butt-case construction. Butt-case provides the means to transfer heat efficiently through both surfaces of the heater.
APPLICATION:
Wattage should be maintained below 35 W/sq. in. When surface mounted. mica strip heaters should not exceed 22 W/sq. in. Proper clamping and application of strip heaters will provide long life and efficiency. while the most cost effective heater available. |

Construction
Drum Heaters consist of a cylindrical metal cover carrying the flexible heating elements. A 2" thick thermal lagging of glass wool provides insulation and the metal casing makes for a rugged unit that can be wrapped snugly around the drum. The Drum Heater is hinged, and is mounted on castors for convenience. A base heater, also encapsulated in metal provides bottom heating. Control Panel incorporating thermostatic control is provided with the heaters. |
